A bit about myself ...
I was a late starter to travel ... having never left NZ until I was 30yrs old! My first experience of overseas travel was to Hong Kong in 1998 - I fell in love with travelling and decided to make a career out of it in 2001 when I joined Great Holiday Escape - a then subsidary of Flight Centre Ltd.
I ended up having a very successful agency career, managing both GHE and FCL West Auckland branches for the next 15yrs.
In December 2015 my husband Roger and I decided to move our family (Ruby & Tanner) out of the hustle and bustle of Auckland City and move to a lifestyle block 3km out of town in beautiful Matamata.
At first I transferred to FC Tauranga but I didn't like travelling over the Kaimai every day so I approached and was hired by Jo Anne Prevett Travel (now YOU Travel) here in town where I spent the last 2.5yrs.
In October 2019 I felt it was time for a change - at an industry lunch I met a travel broker from Rotorua who told me about this fantastic company she worked with, Aspire Travel Brokers ... and the rest as they say is history. I am now working for myself as a travel broker under the ATG umbrella.
What does that mean? Well it means that ATG source me the best deals with airlines, wholesalers and product specialists - I am not tied to having to use 'preferred' suppliers nor am I restricted in what/who/where I can sell. I have access to the latest cloud based reservations system meaning that I can book your flights from anywhere. ATG are IATA accredited so you can be sure that your funds and holidays are in reputable hands.
And best of all because I have an office at my home : 283 Peria Road, Matamata : it not only means that I am available to you see in and out of business hours, it also means I have much lower overheads than my competitors - so I am able to pass these savings on to my clients.
